Sunset Hygro pinching

I have some Sunset Hyrgo I'd like to give to a friend, how would I go about this? Do I just pinch it like I would the Hornwort, or is there something else I should know?

Ideally take very sharp scissors to cut the stem where you want, to preserve a smooth end. Otherwise, you can really just pinch it off with your fingers. It is very hardy and can even be floated for a time.
