Tahitian Moon sand for substrate

Would Tahitian moon sand be a decent substrate for a planted tank? Looking for a small grain gravel, or dark sand for a planted tank I am planing.

It's been used in plenty of planted tanks ... give that substrate that dark appearance that'll make colors pop!
