the most important test kit i need to get for planted tank

knowing you travis that one day will not be too far away... :D I would recommend MH to someone that wanted to do a large FW hexagon tank. or something similar in depth. I realize that a hexagon is not good for a plant setup but I could see someone wanting one for tall plants and say discus or angle fish. :D

Green would that be obtuse or acute that go in a hexagonal tank?

hex tanks aren't really good for discus or angel fish either. they may be tall fish, but they still need plenty of horizontal swimming space.
 
If I were to have one it would be full of neons or other schooling fish.. "obtuse or acute"? Im you were asking about what kind of discus or anglefish to keep.. when I said a large hex I meant a very large hex.. but your still right malkore.. even a huge hex is limited in its horizontal space.
