I have had this idea i wanted to do a sump for my 125. Basically make a sump style wet/dry, and have lobster in the refug and some heavy planting. I have an FX5 that was going to be used in that tank, but Im on the fence.

I'd shy away from it. I tried with my 150 since it was previously a sw tank. You could get away with low light plants that won't need ferts. It was hard to keep nicer plants since the co2 would gas off so easily and makes it harder for ferts. I switched the plants to my 55 with a can and stuff is going crazy now.
Plants grew with the sump but not nearly as well. Closed system is much more efficient
