I'm planning in planting a 55 gal tank 48" long. I have a fluval 306 and 405. Will that be too much for this tank? I want it to be medium to heavily planted with a large school small school some corys and a centre piece. If that's not too much filtration, I have an issue. The 405 won't fit under my stand, well it will but won't lol. Can I just buy a 305 base and use that since its shorter?

I'm assuming I won't be using either of my two wave makers? If not ill just sell them off with my other tank

I use a 406 on my 55's but think a 306 would work. You can always add a good HOB on it if necessary. My 406 won't fit under the stand but the tank sits in a corner so the filter is just sitting beside the tank and pushed back where you really don't see or notice it.
