Trouble with plants

I keep trying to buy plants and keep them alive in my 55 gal but they always die...

What are some easy plants to keep alive that will flourish

Java moss, java ferns, anubias are some to name a few.

What kind of lighting do you have? Do you dose ferts?

Many low light plants like the ones meegosh mentioned are very simple to take care of.

Inadequate lighting us typically the cause of death for most plants in aquariums. What kind of lights are you running?

alot of plants will 'melt' because of a change in water conditions, they generally grow new leaves more compatable to the new conditions...that may not be your situation... root tabs and liquid ferts go a long way
