I've seen threads asking about it from time to time, so I'll figure I'll touch on it real quick. ...though I receatly cleared my plants out, partly due to BBA.
Metal Halide-4100K. As you can see, my water is a bit stained at the moment.
Coated Mercury Vapor. Kinda a warm, pinkish color.
Uncoated Mercury Vapor. Sucks the color out of some fish since it does not have red. However, it does highlight green plants.
High Pressure Sodium. Really kinda bland.
