Unknown plant

I was wondering if anyone could help identify this plant?

Java ferns usually grow much denser in my experience.

My first thought is a crypt, though I couldn't tell you the variety.

Crypts all grow leaves from a base. Like Sword plants.

This looks like a stem plant ???

Ehhh kinda similar in leaf type, but my plants have shorter leaves and more.

It looks very much like a number of rosette plants, but in one picture it looks like a stem. Can you elaborate on that, or get better close up shots?


If I had to guess, aponogeton crispus is about as good a guess as any.

It is a stem plant for sure. I'l make sure to take some better pictures tomorrow!

What's the background on the plant? Where did you get it?

Ok, took some footwork but I think I got it. Potamogeton crispus, which is a federal noxious weed.

Well i picked out of a shallow part of a local pond about 8 months ago.
