Hi guys,

I just installed a UV filter in my tank to get rid of green water. It did the trick! The water is not green any more although it is still a little cloudy (milky).

My plants are not really growing much, they look good but when I read about people clipping them almost weekly, well... mine have never been clipped other than by the gourami and the angel... They're alive though!

I use leaf zone every 5-7 days and some Fluorish excel every other day.
Any suggestions about how to make them grow at least a little would be very appreciated!

And going to the key question, is the UV filter going to affect the plants in any way? And if that is the case what can I do to compensate for it?

Thank you!

I don't think the UV will affect your plants. Some chemicals are UV sensitive but I don't know if id would affect any of your fertilisers?

It may do something to the soluable carbon compounds????? Any hard core organic chemists out there?
