So I was wondering how long a chain of Vesuvius Swords will be right now I have three chains the longest with 7 plantlets will it theoretically go forever?

Pretty much. You can help it by putting the roots of the runners in the substrate.

I push them in a ? or @ kind of pattern to get a nice grouping going!

I get vals mainly just for a nice lush background. Sound if one runner goes outta place I move it back into a straight row in the back.

Literally all the space is taken around them and I don't want to put them in my hair grass carpet

I decided to cut it if it is the best for the plant.
While I was doing that there was another chain in the back with 5 more plantlets.
I have 25 swords now and one of the swords in my other tank is starting a chain.
