Walmart special into a planted beauty

I found one of those top fin 10 gallon starter kits and stands on Craigslist for $15 and couldn't pass it up

Anyways what changes to lighting as well as substrates/ferts will I need for a heavily planted tank? I plan on copying uarujoeys DIY co2 system

I found an older light for my 10gallon that holds 2 screw in bulbs. I put 2- 26 watt cfl bulbs that are 6500k in there and it has a co2 system. My plants are doing awesome in there. Just regular gravel topped with black sand.
