WHA happened to my floating plants????

I had some georgous floating fern I got for free a while back in my tank and it was growing so nuts I would have to trim it back with every WC.

Lately tho its not looking so hot. Im wondering if I trimmed to much and it just shocked and is dying.

It was a really nice plant, I liked the way the roots hung and my dwarf gourami loves nesting it up.

Anyway to save it???

Not sure, it should come back after an adjustment period I would think.
