What are your favorite background plants?

I also love Crypts. Balansae is one of my most successful. Tall and fairly fast growing for a Crypt.

Don't know your tank dimensions, but for tall tanks, I love swords.

This is one of those adventitious plantlets on an Amazon sword in my 29 gallon. It's about 20 inches tall right now, and I'm waiting for a more fully developed root system on the plantlet before I cut it loose from the parent plant.



Right in front of it is one of my c. retrospiralis (referenced earlier in the thread).

I have one of those shoots coming off of my Amazon too and wasn't sure if/when I should cut it. I like the other one too; it kind of looks curly.
