What Did I Do...Right?
This plant just grew and flowered above the water line. I accidentally snapped the stem tonight, at the level the glass is at, but I figure another one will grow up again.

Neat!
My plants won't stay in their home either. I try to tell them that they're aquatic plants and should stay in the water but they keep climbing out.

You know, I grew that plant from a bulb. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my tank as far as which plant to add, so I rolled the dice and bought a bulb kit. I figured if one plant grew in that I liked, it was cheaper than buying the plant itself. Well, only one grew and this was it. If anyone else can nail down the exact plant, that'd be great.

I agree, I think it's an Apon Crispus.

Awesome! I think the only plant I've had flower out of water was a huge Anubias barteri that I ended up selling because it outgrew my 55g. I trim the rest of them so they stay in the tank.

I've gotten the a few bulb packets from walmart, out of 13 bulbs only one grew. I believe it was an Anubias(?). They say they have a 100% guarantee, you have to pay postage to mail the bulb back to them. Who knows if you'll get a good bulb in exchange though.

Anubias don't grow from bulbs. You're probably thinking of Aponogetons.
