No. I mean without a hood. I mean, I do have some sunlight and 2 15 watt lights. But nothing real.

What kind of 15 watt lights? Sunlight will help, will also grow algae on the glass very quickly that will block out most of that light.

Sunlights never been a problem with algae for me. And besides, all the plants should compete for nutrients.
