My friend got some plants from a natural-pond once and plants from someone else -so no idea where it could've come from.

What is this?

The planted tank is in Puerto Rico. The specie can swim an walk fine under water. It has been sucked out and killed. But the question still stands. Hopefully, it isn't an undiscovered specie.

I'm not a 100% positive but it kind of looks like mosquito larvae.

Hey,
So from your suggestion, I researched it and found no luck of it being a mosquitoes, but you were on the right path. Apparently that is the Nymph of a Damselfly. Thank you!
