Hi, suddenly I am having an algae bloom of this type. What is it? Could it be because I replanted more polysperma tops and did not increase dosage?

Tank: 55g
Lighting: 4wpg
Dosage: EI: 40 - 60g
CO2: Pressurized

Thanks for the replies ppl. Jchillin when you say I should increase K which chemical should I increase? potassium nitrate, potassium sulfate or potassium hydrogen phosphate?

Thanks.

Potassium Nitrate is mostly for Nitrates but also has some Potassium. Potassium Sulfate is just for dosing Potassium. Never heard of the last one. To just increase Potassium you would want to increase the Potassium dosing.

KH2PO4 - I meant Potassium Dihydrogren Phosphate.

It is mentioned in Barr's EI dosing:

40-60 Gallon Aquariums
+/- 1/2 tsp KN03 3x a week
+/- 1/8 tsp KH2P04 3x a week
+/- 1/8 tsp K2S04 3x a week
+/- 1/8 (10ml) Trace Elements 3x a week
50% weekly water change

Okay. That would actually be called Mono Potassium Phosphate and is for Phosphate dosing.

Yep, it seems to have different name. Does a molly or platy help in clearing up this algae?
