what kind of plant is this and is it totally aquatic?

i went to petco today and i saw some otos and this plant. i needa wait till the otos go on sale again, but this plant looked interesting.

it looks kinda wierd for being aquatic, i dont know why. i think its because its shiny.
 
looks like a sword, but you might want to try posting your question in the "Freshwater and Brackish Planted Tanks" Forum.


also, ive found a good way to tell if they are really aquatic plants, if you don't know the name, when i go to the LFS, i pick the plant up out of the water and see what it looks like, if it stands up good out of the water, its probably not really an underwater plant. From My Experience, The underwater plants kind of collapse when you take them out of the water, this isn't true for all of them i know, but its just a way to kind of test it.
 
hmm im probally going to take it back today or tomorrow. hopefully they'll let me exchange it
