Where to set the lights.

I was wondering, when using a glass canopy, is it better to set the light on the glass, or to use the mounts that come with the light?

the mounts make it easy to accuses. laying it on the glass wont hurt anything though. the closer to the water line the more light gets into the tank.

Wish I could, but I do in fact have them.

just make sure that you keep your glass clean so that it doesnt diffuse the light. that's the reason i junked my tops. i hated keeping them clean

I hear ya on that. At least the glass seems easier to clean than those plastic lids were.
