White stringy stuff on moss and weird cloudy water

Ive got some peacock moss in my 5 gallon tank and admittedly the conditions are not ideal as its very warm where i live, but some of it died off and some didnt. Ive noticed white stringy stuff attached to it and I was wondering if anybody could tell me what it is and how i could get rid of it. Also ive noticed white particles floating around my tank and the filter doesnt seem to be picking it up. Is it attributed to the stuff on the moss and how can i get rid of it? Thanks for the help.

Are you feeding much to the tank?

Are the little things like dots check out Planaria...they can be long and slender and can also be like dots but may float around too.

How is the flow in the tank, very low?

What size tank and filter, how often and how much water changes do you do frequency and amount? Stock in the tank??
