I have a 29 gallon and the light that came with it is an aqueon 8,000k full spectrum daylight, 17w T8 24inch bulb. Will this grow anything, even low light plants? Thanks everyone :)

What? 8000K is fine for plants. Pretty much any non-actinic bulb will be fine for plants. There are 18000K bulbs that work fine for plants. Color temp of a bulb is NOT the same as spectrum.

You're going to be very limited on what will grow in the tank if you can get anything to grow at all. I would try to stick to java ferns, anubias, and moss species. Java moss will do fine at just about any light level.

Thanks for the replies! Can anyone suggest a bulb I can get? I would just like low light plants and not have to use co2. I'm just gonna be starting out so I'd like to keep it simple at first. Thanks again :)
