wisteria
i have both types of wisteria, as said by live aquaria there is 2 types, submergent and emergent
the emergent is a nice fast growing stalk plant, idk if correct term but grows straigt up and leaves come from inside like most/all plants but the the submergernt isnt as tall and has roots on the stems on alot more than just teh bottom, is this a ground cover plant or no? right now its in the tank growing upward just fine but i seen that some parts look like ground cover, has any1 every had this plant?

2 types? Never heard of that. I know it can be grown "emmersed" (out of the water) as many aquatic plants can be and submerged (completely in the water) as is common. It is not a ground covering plant. Roots coming from the nodes is common among aquatic plants. Some say its the plants way of absorbing more nutrients but I have yet to see anything conclusive on this. You can just cut them off or cut the plant there and replant it. Its a great beginner plant that is undemanding and will soak up excess nutrients. Many use this when orginally planting a tank for these reasons. I have some in my newly setup 75 gallon. I always keep some in fry growout tanks too.

Hygrophila difformis (Wisteria) will have to different leaf shapes and sizes depending on how its grown (submergant or emergant). Most plants will. Its still the same plant though.
