Ya, it's kind of annoying adding these supplements and seeing your tank cloud over, especially after its been as clear as cheap tank crystal could be, you know?

I'm hoping a few days will run its course and things can go back to normal.

Tank cleared up when got home. Moved some things around and stuff was stirred up again. Added some poly-Fil to the HOB to capture the particulates. Noticed string string algae growing; prolly from the window next to the tank and the ferts I just added. I think newly transferred plants go through an adjustment period when they are moved and this MIGHT interrupt the rate of nutrient uptake.

Well my dry ferts arrived yesterday. I'll get those mixed up this morning and let them sit and start dosing tomorrow. Well see how much of an improvement they make.

Well. My second oto was floating in the frogbit this morning. I've been doing small water changes to help keep the water clear, but who knows with these sensitive little guys. Last night I noticed him sitting on the rock he usually feeds off of, but not attached just sitting on it, if that makes sense.

I put down some fresh zucchini in case there wasn't enough microscopic algae for him. My tanks been having a small diatom bloom which I thought would've been enough. Apparently not.

I have had a rasbora who developed a random timorous looking growth underneath his chin in the last week. I probably should've euthanized him right away, but I didn't. He was dead on the sand this morning too. I'm wondering if he could've dumped enough ammonia over night to kill the oto?

Does anyone have an idea where to get tank raised oto's? I feel bad that so many people lose these fish and part of the reason is that get stressed with their initial captures.

Rescaped the tank a little today. I can't wait until I'm satisfied. I ditched the nesaea, I couldn't provide enough light to keep it. It's currently floating in some water, I may try to plant it emersed or something. I hate just wasting it.

I kept the ludwigia in there, but replaced it all with fresh stems because it was looking pretty haggard. Going to try that in a bowl sometime maybe.

Both of my anubias spp are giving off CO2, found that pretty interesting.

Spread out the HM a little. Maybe I'll see some new growth from it.

The anarchis is doing well. Didn't really expect it not too, but its still worth mentioning.

The reineckii is showing some growth. I'm reminded once again that my lighting isn't sufficient. It's losing some color on its leaves, but at least it isn't shedding everywhere.

I thinned out the frogbit, kept some floaters but put most in the 55. The little I put in there before is still doing good.

Switched the tank up a little. I put the alternathera in front of the filter because of its thicker stems, I thought it wouldn't mind the flow.

I put the ludwigia in the middle and its flanked by the HM. I'm not sure how much I like it yet, it feels to plain in the right hand corner.

Still dosing PPS-Pro, it seems to be helping the plants. Not seeing ridiculous growth, but wasn't expecting much with my lighting. Well see how it goes.

A brief look through the many stages this tank has taken.

It is nice, I was surprised at the change even though I was the one doing the changes!

The ever increasing amount of algae is worth noting also haha.

I love these before and after pictures... Really shows how much changes in a tank! Especially for people who don't think their plants grow!
