I bought my aquarium off a guy that used to breed them in the tank and a week after I set mine up, amazingly these wee cherry shrimp started appearing everywhere. About 10 survived lol. I read up on them and apparently they are good food waste cleaners. :)

Has anyone successfully kept them with fish? If so, what are potential tank mates?

I think they are safe with Otos.

ottos are about it, I keep mine by themselves tough, some say they can live with neons but the neons will eat the babie shrimp for sure

I think it depends on the fish too, my guppies eat anything (and everything) they see, so I've never thought for a second that they could go in with shrimp I was planning to breed.
