Am I feeding too much?
I've been cycling for 10 days now and have 6 damsels in my 90 gallon tank. I was told by my [acronym:26241ded83="Local Fish Store"]LFS[/acronym:26241ded83] to feed them 2-3 times a day, but my nitrate reading is 25 [acronym:26241ded83="milligrams or magnesium, depending on context"]mg[/acronym:26241ded83]/l as of today, so I KNOW I have to cut back on the feeding drastically. I'm feeding the fish flake food. Just how much food should I be feeding these fish (a pinch? less than that?)?
 How many times a day should these fish be fed and at what intervals (every other day, every 2 days?)? |

A small amount every other day is plenty. What they can eat in 3min is enough
