bringing ph up?
I have a 29gal with 6lbs of [acronym:ce558e05e8="Live rock"]lr[/acronym:ce558e05e8] and 30lbs of sand 10 of it is [acronym:ce558e05e8="Live sand"]ls[/acronym:ce558e05e8]. My [acronym:ce558e05e8="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]ph[/acronym:ce558e05e8] is only 7.5, i just ordered 45lbs of [acronym:ce558e05e8="Live rock"]lr[/acronym:ce558e05e8] which will be here middle of week. Should i use something to try and bring the [acronym:ce558e05e8="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]ph[/acronym:ce558e05e8] up or just wait till the [acronym:ce558e05e8="Live rock"]lr[/acronym:ce558e05e8] gets here?

If the tank is new or still cycling, then the low pH is normal. Water changes will raise the pH and once the cycle is completed a water change will get rid of all the acidic wastes produced during the cycle. Adding 45lbs of [acronym:b68a091c04="Live rock"]LR[/acronym:b68a091c04] may also cause the tank to cycle again if it is not cycling right now. [acronym:b68a091c04="Hope this helps (or) Happy to help"]HTH[/acronym:b68a091c04]
