Canopies
Does anyone have a suggestion to a type of canopy i should be looking into(maybe some websites.)...I have a glass top now, but im looking for a little more ventalation..

well, canopy usually refer's to a wooden box that holds lights and rests on the lip of the tank.
the glass top you speak of, I'd call a lid. Are you having problems with the water getting too warm during the day? I run my tank open top (no glass) with a canopy over that. even then I still have to run a fan inside to keep things at 80degrees. Some people buy egg crate for fluorescent lighting from Home Depot type stores...basically a plastic grid of 1/4" squares, that's about 1/4" thick.

EjS-do you know a place where i can purchase a nice canopy..not necissarily wood... but ot would be nice...

I built mine for around $120 out of oak plywood. 48x18x15 for my [acronym:8a9126e6b0="Metal halide light"]MH[/acronym:8a9126e6b0]. It is simple to do. Check the [acronym:8a9126e6b0="Do it yourself"]DIY[/acronym:8a9126e6b0] section before you buy one.
