Copepods

Our 29 gallon has been cycling for almost 3 weeks, got the diatom, and a lot of plant growth, today I noticed white bug like things crawling around the glass, I've looked up what they are and figure they are copepods which I've found out is good, but what concerns me is that it is still going through the cycle, will they survive, I'd really like these to hang around for when we get some fish.

Thanks!

These are very tough critters. If they are in your tank now, chances are, they've already survived. Once your tank has been established for a year or so you will be able to have a mandarin goby. They feed exclusively on pods. I owned on once and they are very entertaining, plus, very beautiful.

thanks

thanks for the fast reply, so we have to wait a year for the goby, ok, I know this hobby teaches patience but that is one fish I'm really look forward to having.

Thanks!

The item to the left of the bristleworm is a pod
