CPR BakPak 2 proteim skimmer cleaning Q:
when cleaning my protein skimmer on my BK2 should i wipe off all the protein clinging to the sides venturi etc? it says to rinse in hot water...i rinse but the icky stuff still stays on..should i keep the stuff on or remove it? thanks in advance

Once a month or so, i clean mine under hot water. I use an algea scrubber to get all the gunk off the sides and take the pump apart and clean it too. Once every 3 or 4 months i will soak the impeller in vinagar for a few hours and rince it.
