Many fish will eat other fish, and some will kill other fish just because they are aggresive, or placed in a system in the wrong order.
Its just nature.

Thought I'd offer my two cents on this topic. I keep a dwarf lionfish in a 30g, hwich is all right for him...If you have 75g, think bigger and get a voliatn lionfish....heres a great link that has aided me tremendously in keeping these guys...

I was seriously considering a Dwarf lion for my tank, but decided against it b/c of worries of eating my other fish.
