Flame Angel

I am having a hard time feeding my new flame angel. It is not eating any frozen or flake. I also tried to feed seaweed but would not take it. Any help would be appreciated.

How long have you had it?
If you just brought it home then chances are it's still acclimating to the tank. They can take a few days to adjust and start eating.

Did you see it eat at the [acronym:ae01d43b9a="Local Fish Store"]lfs[/acronym:ae01d43b9a]?
If you bought it at a [acronym:ae01d43b9a="Local Fish Store"]lfs[/acronym:ae01d43b9a], call them and ask what they feed and try some of the same. After 3 or days it should be hungry enough to eat almost anything. You can try some Garlic Xtreme or pure garlic juice on the food. JUST A DROP OR TWO! It's very powerful and considered a great food attractant as well as prophylactic for Ich and other parasites.

We've had good luck with mysis and our flame angel. He can't get enough of the stuff. [acronym:56893ca44c="Hope this helps (or) Happy to help"]HTH[/acronym:56893ca44c].

Mysis or green life line are what all my fish take.

I would recommend mysis as well or adult brine shrimp.

Is he eating yet? If so, what did the trick?
