Hang on powerhead?

Anyone have/heard of one?
Looking to add more current to tank but do not need extra heat

You could do a hang-on closed loop with a small pump.

Interesting. I assume the motor is outside, and the propeller is magneticly driven outside? Any moving parts on the outside, or just an alternating magnetic field? There's definatly going to be some inefficiency due to the distance between motor and propeller. I wonder what the cost will be in comparison to a traditional pump.

I saw that at MACNA. It creates quite a disturbance in a tank. I was under the impression that it was going to be going after the Tunze market and at 250$ per as the anticipated price on release it seems right up that alley.

Lots of unproven, but very interesting concepts at play there. I doubt I'll fall on the bleeding edge of that technology though.

$250? I had no idea it was going to be that much.
