LifeGuard Quiet One
I have a Quiet One pump as my main return pump. I have had it operated for 6 months now, no problems. Now, it overheats and shuts off for no apparent reason. Then comes on 20-30 minutes later. Annoying. Anyone have experience with this and ideas for a solution?
I Do have a ball valve on the return side to slow the flow, but it's only at about a 10 degree angle...

I remember they used to have problems with this several years ago, but I thought they resolved that issue. [acronym:5c9d9ccfbd="For what its worth"]FWIW[/acronym:5c9d9ccfbd], if the pump is actually overheating, something is causing it, most likely there is some sort of blockage in the intake. I would remove the pump and thoroughly clean it and the impellar assembly and see if that helps...if not, I would contact Rainbow Lifegard.
