Lighting question?
What is the 10,000k good for?
What is the Actinic good for? How should I set the timers for each of these? How long should each one be on?

The actinic emits the smaller wavelengths of light - that is why it is blue in color. Blue light is can make it through the water to the deeper levels without being absorbed by the water. So .... your critters who rely on light to produce food will receive the energy that they need to photosynthesize. I believe the 10,000 provides the broader spectrum
( other colors ) of light. provides intensity for photosynthesis, and balances out the blue color of the actinics. |
