a new reef aquarium - Aquarium Advice

i'm starting a new reef tank. before i do get anything is there anything i need to know?

Well, yes, but that's far too open-ended of a question to get a response containing 'what you need to know'.

Start by reading Robert Fenner's The Conscientious Marine Aquarist. After that, you should be ready to start buying equipment.

Biggest thing: this is a slow, very patient, some what expensive hobby...so don't rush ANYTHING.

Before you decide to go [acronym:4d35166bde="Saltwater"]SW[/acronym:4d35166bde], you should consider upgrading the [acronym:4d35166bde="Freshwater"]FW[/acronym:4d35166bde] tanks that you have listed in your profile. Your fish may be small now, but they grow fast, and I see alot of serious problems brewing for you down the road due to serious overcrowding.
