OK ID fans... What is this?
Found this critter in my Artemia culture tank after I drained it.
Info on the Culture Tank: 30 gallons Salinity = 85ppt as measured by Refractometer S.G. = (WAYYYYY off the scale of my hydrometer) Temp = 72F Ammonia = 0.5 Nitrite = 2ppm Nitrate = over 100 ppm (off the scale) I should add that the head is in the lower left and the critter is on its back. ![]()

That's an ugly spud
I doubt it is right, but I'll give it a shot. Using the Dichotomous Key on Dr. Ron's Website (without all the answers I might add) I believe it might be Echiuran worms. Phylum Echiura.

Good greef.
That was a good one. So at what stage was it in when you took that photo? Was it a larve stage? Strange that you should have Mosquito eggs in your sandbed. But I suppose you never know where your sand has been before you got it. Atleast I am hoping you dont have misquito's in your basement.
