Powerheads for a 225 Gallon

Hello. How many powerheads should I use for a 225 gallon 72x24x30 high? It will be a [acronym:3f517fb5f4="Fish only with live rock"]FOWLR[/acronym:3f517fb5f4] for the next 1 to 2 years until I am ready to jump into the reef

Thanks, I was thinking about using maxi jet 1200's

Never seen those before. Pretty nice. I may have to hold out on that for the time being. Maybe down the road a bit. I still have to purchase my [acronym:21b04bb487="Metal halide light"]MH[/acronym:21b04bb487]'s and Live rock and that will set me back for a bit. I knew this hobby was going to get expensive, but since I stay at home with my son I have to limit the spending more than I used to.

I would go with 4-6 Maxi Jet 1200s.

You might want to check out closed loop systems. I am getting a 220 [acronym:90e322a7ea="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:90e322a7ea] and instead of all the [acronym:90e322a7ea="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]ph[/acronym:90e322a7ea] I am looking into a closed loop.
