pronunciations. . .
Is there a book, website, or forum that lists the phonic pronunciations to many of the words in the reef/saltwater hobby? There are a lot of new words to learn and I would like to know how to pronounce them correctly.
Thanks, Rick |

Hmmm, what are you having problems with? Most have issues with the latin names.
Invertabrates; A quick reference guide and Corals; A quick reference guide by Jullian Sprung and Aquarium Corals by Eric Borneman have phonetic spellings of the latin naes for the inverts and corals we keep. I did a quick search and couldn't find an online reference for phonetic spellings of fish or inverts.

My suggestion would be to just ask here when you see a weird name. Like the Spirobedae worms....its Spy-[acronym:2f3ce943fc="Reverse osmosis"]ro[/acronym:2f3ce943fc]-be-day. Its as easy as that. Save you mone and time I would think.

Why not try using YourDictionary.com which also includes sound pronunciations.
