Protein Skimmer
I am just setting up my first tank and buying the supplies. I was wondering on what kind of protein skimmer i should use, and its price range.

depends on how big your tank is, and whether you plan to have a sump.
*edit* Found your other post. 75gallon tank, with a sump. You'll want an in-sump skimmer, rather than a hang-on. I have no experience in larger, non-hang on skimmers, so I'll defer this to my peers.

go with an ASM G1X in sump skimmer. Very low priced and they work awesome!
