Pump choice
I have to replace a return pump. I am thinking about a Dolphin AS2700 (1.5" outlet) or a BlueLine HD70(1" outlet). The return water will go through a short run of 1" hose and into a [acronym:7c777a03d7="Ultra Violet"]UV[/acronym:7c777a03d7] stelilzer and out to 1" hose. It will then be split an reduced to 3/4" hose that rises about 4 feet to the returns.
I like Dolphin pumps and their service. Howver, should i consdider the BL since the outlet is 1" and the reduction will be less dramatic? Or does it not really matter. I do not want more than about 1,350 [acronym:7c777a03d7="Gallons per hour"]gph[/acronym:7c777a03d7] to go through the [acronym:7c777a03d7="Ultra Violet"]UV[/acronym:7c777a03d7]. This will give me about 3X per hour turnover through the [acronym:7c777a03d7="Ultra Violet"]UV[/acronym:7c777a03d7]. Thanks, Pete R.
