purple tang

just got a purple tang from lfs........i had acclimate and quarantined it very well........after 4 days......this baby got white spots alot of them! what should i do? removed it? help.[/code]

sounds like ick to me.

If you search Ick or sometimes spelled ich here you should find many threads on possible solutions.

If you get some garlic juice you could try soaking food in this to help.

Is anything stressing this fish? What are you ammoinia and nitrite levels?

What have you been fedding the tang?

nitrite and ammonia is 0 - ph 8.0 been feeding frozen brin shrimps soaked with quality garlic elixir for 4 days .........ick or spots still there!........
water temp is 28 to 29 degree celcius ... not know how to convert in farenheit?

any help?

freshwater dip could help but the stess on the fish in trying to catch it could make things worse.

Are these spots getting more numbeious?

getting worse

the spots getting worse .......almost everywhere on this poor purple tang......but seems that the breathin and appetite are good!
