How long would it takes him to get use to the environment? Because in the [acronym:84dbb7aa85="quarantine or quart depending on context"]QT[/acronym:84dbb7aa85], there are no other fishes, so it get use to it fast, but there are 7 fishes including him now, he does not swim around much as he looks quite afraid of the others. And my others fishes are all small fishes, flame angel, damsels, wrasse and clown fishes, also seems to afraid of him too. My water specs are ok. And how do I coax it to eat vegetables eg.lettuce, broccoli? Any idea? It just eat seaweeds at the [acronym:84dbb7aa85="quarantine or quart depending on context"]QT[/acronym:84dbb7aa85].

Purple Tangs can be difficult to keep. It will be very shy for a few days. How big is your tank? I wouldn't feed it vegetables, stay with the seaweed and commercial algae based food. Provide macroalgae for it to graze. Tangs have a large appetite and grow quite large. Keep it well fed to keep it happy.
