PVC cement and water question

I tried to run [acronym:75195f5d6d="Plastic pipe"]PVC[/acronym:75195f5d6d] pipe from my tank to the sump, and even though I wore a mask the fumes were making me ill, so I did a rushed job. Some of the [acronym:75195f5d6d="Plastic pipe"]PVC[/acronym:75195f5d6d] primer and cement ran down into the pipe, and it's pretty much impossible to get rid of (as it's inbetween a couple of sections). The primer and cement are both rated safe for portable? water and everything has cured for 24 hours.

Is this safe, or should I cut it down, buy new pipe and try again? I don't want to kill any fish, but I really don't want to have to deal with those fumes again.

My experience with [acronym:10eed46dd3="Plastic pipe"]PVC[/acronym:10eed46dd3] cement is that it's safe for aquariums as long as the cement has been fully cured before coming in contact with water.

Before actually using it, I would run water through it for a while to rinse it. Just to make sure that no unwanted chemicals leech into the tank.

Thanks, I'll make sure that it is fully cured and I will run water through it.
