Quiet One Pumps

Has anyone had any experience with these? How quiet are they and are they worth buying or should we stick with a Mag 5 pump? I like the "cool running" and "energy efficient" part of it.

It's show here on live aquaria

But do see Marine depot sells it also.

Thanks for any input.

We've got one for our 150g thats rated for 1150gph i think. It has worked extremely well so far (about 4 or 5 months). It is VERY quiet. So quiet that you don't even know its running. And we haven't noticed any increase in our electric bill which i guess means that its pretty efficient. We haven't shut it down yet for maintanence, although we probably should, so i don't know what its like to disassemble and clean. I would feel confident in endorsing this product.

Hope this helps!

Yes it does thanks Dan, last thing we need is a higher electric bill and it's a much better price than the mag 5 but we still have to find deminsions on it. Thanks!

As in the size? Its about the size of my fist....literally. Its tiny, very effect pump for such a small design.

Thanks Dan, my husband made the fuge/sump but with the outtake dimensions for a Mag 5, but by the sounds of it I don't think we'll have a problem having it fit, thanks!

The fittings that come with the pump are either 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch. Either way we had to get transition fittings and bind them together so that we could make them 1", same as the bulkhead on the sump. We did have a little leakage with the fittings that went from 1/2" to 1", but that was faulty plumbing on my part.
