i didn't want to step on mach's toes so i did a new topic.
i also bought southdown sand and some of my bags have what looks like algea growing in the bags. do you still not rinse it? i'll send a pic thanks mark |

Hard to tell by the picture. Is it like plant growth or is it just damp from moisture leaking in?

Heck Id just scoop out the area around it and pour it in. Are you adding it to an existing set up or is it a new system?
