Real Salt Water
I live about 30ft from the Ocean in the Bahamas. I am looking at pumping water from the ocean in to my tank. The water has no polution, in fact the fish I will be keeping will be caught from where the pipe inlet will be!!!
What I need to know is what flowrate I should use, and also what filtration I should use to make sure the water is actually clear!!! Also is there an increased risk of getting an overgrowth of Algae with this method? Should I run the water through [acronym:377f712189="Ultra Violet"]UV[/acronym:377f712189] to kill everything? Ideally I want to keep the plankton etc. so I can support invertibrates. Thanks |
