refuge mineral mud
So I'm building a new stand to replace the one that is rotting away on my 46 [acronym:a537da4089="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:a537da4089] reef tank and in the process I'm upgrading my sump/fuge from a 15gal to a 29 [acronym:a537da4089="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:a537da4089] tank. I was at the [acronym:a537da4089="Local Fish Store"]LFS[/acronym:a537da4089] and bought some mineral mud to add to my sand I already have. Has anyone ever used this stuff before?
I was thinking about putting a base of sand down then sandwich the mineral mud between another layer of sand. Is this a good idea? Im hoping this will make my mangroves survive alittle longer. |

I used it solely as the basis in my 55 gallon sump. I cannot say that it produces anything any better/worse than plain sand in my others.....but I had to try
