refugium

Ok, now that I came back from [acronym:5be71cd700="Live rock"]LR[/acronym:5be71cd700].com, I am really excited about putting together a refugium in my tank and converting my wet dry into a sump....so heres the question. Can I make the refugium myself out of a 20 long or plexiglass. A friend of mine wants one too, my question is, will making one save us money and if so, whats the best way to go? I have a light that is 30" long and I wound like to use it for this. My husband and are friend are big on [acronym:5be71cd700="Do it yourself"]DIY[/acronym:5be71cd700] projects. My husband acturally made our hood and it turned out absolutely perfect. But we don't have any expeirence with a refugium, and any advice would be apprechiated. Willing to give whatever kudos I have : )
