Skimmer Choices? - Aquarium Advice

I'm looking at skimmers as a way to reduce my nitrate load and improve the overall cleanliness of my 30 gallon tank. I wonder if anyone has any advice about good and bad skimmers out there. I am looking a the aqua c remora, sea clone 150, and super skimmer. Any advice will be much appreciated.

skip the seaclone, remoras are good. Don't know about the super skimmer.

I have a Berlin Airlift 60. Its works great and much better than the Seaclone did.

thje new seaclones worked great for me, i didnt have any problems with mine,

Seaclones are too finicky... you need to be fiddling with the venturi valve too often and the foam production is not as good as many others out there. The Remora is great for the money. Easy to operate and the height of the collection cup is all you need to adjust.

SeaClone's get a bad rep due to years of poor functionality. The new ones are supposedly better, but may still need some mods to work 'the best they can'.

Remora is a good skimmer, but a little spendy in my opinion.
You didn't list the CPR bak-pak, but I"m going to suggest it as a cheaper alternative the the Remora that'll do a fine job in a 30gal tank (I have one on my 40gal).

Another vote for the CPR BakPak 2. Very easy to setup and adjust.

i heard a lot good things about the superskimmer with the needel wheel.
The seaclones are loud!

Ricordia, candy cane coral. 135gallon (2 months) 125lbs live sand, 100lbs live rock, 2 175W Metal Halide, 1 175W VHO Actinic (so far). Berlin Protein Skimmer in 40 Gallon Sump. 2 Maxi Jet 1200's. 10 Nassarius, 10 mexican turbos, 10 astreas, 20 Blue Leg Hermits, 20 Scarlet Hermits, 5 Emerald crabs, 5 peppermint shrimp. 1 Copper Band butterfly, 2 False Perculas, 1 Javanese Damsel.
