Sump Questions

I have been reading around and notice that most people have sumps for their [acronym:c0be07584f="Saltwater"]SW[/acronym:c0be07584f] tank. I do not at the moment but I seriously need to build one for myself in order to make things easier. Can anyone give me a link or anything for help on how to build one? I'm pretty brainless when it comes to figureing these things out, so if there is a site called "Sumps for dummies" it would be helpful. Also an idea of the costs. Thank You in advance.

My sump is just a 20g long tank. I have my skimmer and wet/dry in it. Cost about 20 bucks. Look at the saltwater gallery, and go to my thread (should be very top). [acronym:ce7bd5e5b4="Hope this helps (or) Happy to help"]HTH[/acronym:ce7bd5e5b4]

You could even got a large rubber trash can from Walmart, add [acronym:44881fb45e="Live rock"]LR[/acronym:44881fb45e] and get a pump return.

You "BIG" items that are a MUST have:
- Container (10gal, 20gal)
- Return Pump (Mag 7 +)
- Overflow device or pre-drilled
- Tubing between the two tanks (Both ways = 2 lines)
- REUSE existing Skimmer and Heater in location.

Roughly $20, $120, $90, $10 - So around $200-$250 in costs.
